A third of all sickness notes given out by GP’s between Sept 2016 and Sept 2018 were for mental health.

As part of the Mental Health Awareness week, North West Regional Learning Organiser Brian Whitehill was talking to Unite the union members about Mental Health Awareness and learning opportunities for workplace reps at the Jack Jones House in Liverpool.
Many employers treat mental health as a “tick the box” exercise, offering bare minimums to employees. It is of utmost importance to tackle anxiety and other mental health illnesses caused by workplace stress – especially in a safety critical role such as cabin crew and flight crew.
We at FRUnite will always be behind our members and colleagues and offer support beyond the legislated bare minimums.
Don’t suffer alone. If you feel you need help but don’t know where to go, or feel overwhelmed, your workplace rep can signpost you to the right place to get help. Speak to your FRUnite rep now. FRUnite is here for you.
